My passion for becoming a counsellor began in my mid-teens, rooted in a deep desire to understand people and support their healing. Although my path initially led me into holistic therapy - qualifying in 2003 as a Certified Clinical Massage and Neuromuscular Therapist in Atlanta, Georgia, USA - I eventually felt called to follow my deeper interest in emotional and psychological wellbeing.
After many years in private practice, I began training as a Psychotherapist in 2011. Today, as a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor with over 10 years of professional experience, I work with individuals seeking clarity, emotional balance, and a stronger sense of inner direction. My focus is on helping clients heal, understand themselves more deeply, and move towards a more grounded and fulfilling life.
I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and tailored to you. As we talk together, I gently reflect back what I hear and notice, helping you explore patterns, emotions, and long-standing beliefs that may be influencing your current experiences.
We will always work at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect - helping you build on your strengths while supporting you through the areas you find most challenging.
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and empathetic space where you can express yourself freely. I aim to listen deeply, understand your perspective, value your individuality, and be transparent and honest throughout our work together. When appropriate, I can also signpost you to additional resources to support your journey.
I specialise in Psychodynamic Therapy and Person-Centred Counselling:
Psychodynamic Therapy
This approach explores unconscious thoughts and feelings that may be influencing your present behaviour, emotions, and relationships. Together we gently look at how past experiences may be shaping your current patterns, helping you understand yourself on a deeper level.
Person-Centred Counselling
Rooted in empathy and unconditional positive regard, this approach gives you the space to explore what you truly need and want. I do not interpret your behaviour; instead, I create a warm and encouraging therapeutic environment where your natural capacity for growth can unfold.
Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit
I am deeply interested in how we grow and develop as whole beings - mind, body, and spirit. For many people, therapy becomes a place to explore deeper questions about meaning, purpose, intuition, and connection with the world around them. If you are seeking to understand the spiritual aspects of your life, I welcome this with openness and understanding.
I have knowledge of spirituality that includes intuitive experiences, existential questions, and the search for connection with the Universe. Spirituality is often seen as separate from religion, although spiritual practices can exist within religious frameworks. For many, spirituality is a personal and evolving journey - a way of being - linked to self-growth, purpose and our relationships with others and the world around us.
I understand that sharing spiritual experiences can feel vulnerable or difficult, especially if you’ve never spoken about them before. In our sessions, I offer you a safe, grounded space to explore what spirituality means for you, help you navigate moments of uncertainty, and support you in understanding your life’s deeper purpose.
