I am currently in my second year of training as a therapist and a registered student member of the BACP. My path into therapy has been deeply shaped by my own life experiences, including a personal journey of self-discovery following motherhood. These experiences have given me a genuine appreciation of how complex, challenging, and transformative different stages of life can be.
I have a particular interest in themes related to womanhood, including hormonal changes, emotional wellbeing, and the postpartum experience. I value the profound impact of feeling truly heard, understood, and supported, and this understanding sits at the core of my work and continues to inform my development as a therapist.
I aim to offer a space where you can speak openly and be fully yourself without fear of judgement. I work in a collaborative and supportive way, trusting that each person has the capacity for unlocking self-understanding and growth. I support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences through gentle curiosity and meaningful reflection.
I offer online sessions, which many clients find to be a comfortable and accessible way to engage in therapy. My priority is to ensure that you feel at ease, supported, and able to engage in the process at your own pace.
My work is primarily informed by a person-centred perspective, emphasising empathy, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard. This approach allows you to explore your experiences in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
Where appropriate, I may also draw on elements of CBT, including structured exercises to explore patterns of thinking and emotional responses. I also recognise the value of exploring underlying emotions and the possible influence of deep-rooted past experiences on present difficulties.
By integrating these perspectives, I aim to support a deeper understanding of your inner world and lived experience.
