About me

About Katty

Alongside my psychotherapy training and many years of clinical experience within the NHS, I have a background in cognitive & clinical neuroscience, which broadens my understanding of the profound ways in which relational connection, conflict, and attachment can influence a couple’s shared experience.

How I work with you

I work integratively with individuals and couples who wish to better understand themselves and others, and to navigate the patterns that shape their relationships. I attend carefully to what is spoken and unspoken, to story and narrative, theme and symbolism, unconscious material, as well as to the emotional life that emerges in the room. I firmly believe that each person is a singular world of experience and that the therapeutic frame is the perfect laboratory for exploring that world.

My therapeutic style

Every client is completely unique in their experiences, belief system, narrative style, relational history, self-perception and therefore I use a relational integrative approach that  drawing on psychodynamic theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Theory, and Gestalt therapy.

Mindful Team.
