My name is Lucy, and I am a second-year trainee counsellor currently studying at the University of East London. I am training as an integrative practitioner, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. My training includes Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I integrate elements from each modality to offer thoughtful and ethical support.
My counselling journey began from my own experience as a client, where I witnessed the impact of a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. This experience continues to shape my work and is at the heart of my practice. I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted can create meaningful change.
In sessions, clients can expect a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where we work collaboratively. I aim to build a trusting relationship in which you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Together, we can reflect on these experiences, develop insight, and work towards greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing.
My therapeutic style is compassionate and reflective. I value curiosity, respect, and authenticity in the counselling relationship. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationships, identity, or life transitions, I aim to support you in understanding yourself more deeply and finding ways forward that feel right for you.
