About me

About Katty

Over many years of professional experience, I have developed a strong ability to understand and empathise with others, their worries, needs and hopes, enabling me to support people sensitively through periods of change.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with individuals, teams, and organisations as a consultant and facilitator, helping people to reflect, grow, and adapt. My work has consistently centred on the development of both people and ideas. Supporting others to clarify what “better” looks like for them, and then working alongside them to move towards it, has always been deeply meaningful to me.

That same intention now sits at the heart of my therapeutic practice. I bring the empathy that comes with experience and a continually evolving toolkit grounded in relational psychotherapy. My approach is warm, structured, and calm, with a focus on building a real connection.

How I work with you

I practise integrative relational therapy, believing the most effective help responds to the individual needs of each client. I primarily work from a person-centred approach and draw thoughtfully on Psychodynamic Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as appropriate. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA).

My therapeutic style

In our work together, you will be offered a space in which you are accepted as you are — a space to breathe, to feel what you need to feel, and to reflect on your choices. My hope is that clients feel genuinely seen and understood by someone new in their lives who is there to support them, asking for nothing in return except time and commitment to themselves.

Mindful Team.
