About me

About Katty

I am drawn to counselling through a genuine interest in people, emotional wellbeing, and the ways individuals make sense of their experiences. I value compassion, authenticity, and respect, and I am committed to working ethically, reflectively, and within the scope of my training. I recognise the importance of ongoing learning and supervision in supporting safe and effective practice.

How I work with you

I aim to offer a safe, confidential, and supportive online space where you feel able to speak openly and without judgement. Sessions are guided by you and move at a pace that feels right for your needs. I listen carefully and gently reflect what I hear, supporting you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with greater awareness.

My approach is collaborative and respectful, helping you develop self-understanding and recognise your strengths without giving advice or imposing solutions. I am mindful of the specific considerations of online counselling, including privacy, boundaries, and emotional safety. Where appropriate, I can also offer signposting to additional sources of support, with your agreement.

My therapeutic style

My approach is entirely Person-Centred, guided by empathy, genuine understanding, and authenticity. I believe that feeling truly heard can support self-awareness, insight, and positive change. I take a holistic perspective, recognising the interconnectedness of the whole self and the ways personal, emotional, and relational factors influence wellbeing. Within this framework, I support clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and accepting space, encouraging reflection, personal growth, and self-understanding. My work is grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity to find balance and make meaningful changes when supported with care and respect.

Mindful Team.
