I am a trainee counsellor, currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Counselling with the Counselling Pastoral Trust, alongside a strong academic background in English, philosophy and the humanities. I bring experience from education, research and support roles which have deepened my understanding of emotional wellbeing, learning differences and the impact of social and relational contexts on mental health. I am committed to ethical, reflective practice and to working sensitively with adults from a wide range of backgrounds.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, respectful and paced according to your needs. I aim to offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can explore difficulties safely and openly. Sessions are led by what you bring, whether you are seeking support with anxiety, low mood, identity questions, relationships or life transitions. I value transparency and shared decision-making, and we regularly review the work together to ensure therapy feels purposeful, supportive and responsive to you.
I work in an integrative way, grounded primarily in person-centred therapy and informed by psychodynamic thinking and reflective practice. I pay close attention to emotional experience, relational patterns and meaning-making, while also supporting the development of insight and self-awareness. My work is trauma-informed and attentive to individual differences in communication, learning and emotional processing. Above all, I aim to work with warmth, curiosity and care, supporting clients to develop greater understanding, resilience and self-compassion.
